It is amazing how far cosmetic surgery has come in the last couple of years. With new procedures and technologies, cosmetic surgery is a lot more accessible to everyone with a lot less of the risks involved as well. On this week’s YourCosmeticDoctor.tv video, Dr. Barry Lycka talks about what is new in the world of cosmetic surgery.
How Far We’ve Come
Cosmetic surgery has really advanced in the last couple of years. The procedures now being done were not even in the realm of possibility not too long ago.
We can now remove scars, tighten eyelids, tighten the abdomen and get rid of fat. In fact, technology now allows us to remove fat from the abdomen and put it into other areas of the body.
For example, we have a new procedure called SVELT – Small Volume Elective Lipo Transfer. This is where we harvest the fat from the abdomen and flanks of a woman and inject it into their breasts. This procedures have had excellent results.
We are presenting our results at the World Congress of Dermatology in Vancouver in June 2015, so stay tuned because there is going to be some more exciting information coming out of that!
